A board was conducted on 18 February 2020, where a panel of Master Chiefs reviewed 15 outstanding nomination packages. Competition was extremely close and all nominees should be proud of their superb records. 2. Finalists will report to my office in Washington, DC, from 29 March through 2 April 2020, to continue the selection process. The finalist selected as the 2019 Navy Reserve Sailor of the Year will be meritoriously advanced to Chief Petty Officer during the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy's Sailor of the Year Recognition Week. Uniform, berthing, and travel requirements will be provided by the POC via separate correspondence. 4.
